Bought this item for my mother. She called and told me that I have to buy one for myself that it is the best cooking device in her kitchen (and she owns every gadget you can imagine). She says it cooks to perfection. She was impressed with the real cookbook included, not a phamplet like you usually get with crockpots and such. She loves it! (I'm talking about a person who is very hard to please and has been cooking for a family of 7 for 50 years). So it must be good.

2. This hasn't left the counter-top, despite it's size, since we got it....
If you or someone you know are the type that likes to cook at home and are savvy enough to figure out how to research and apply to the kitchen, then this is an ESSENTIAL piece you must have. I am formerly a chef from my younger years but, I haven't lost my passion for home cooked meals that are much much better than going out and cheaper. Anything they do, we can do at home if you only knew how. This cooker WILL get you a few steps closer to 5 star meals. If you don't know your way around the kitchen and want to, this will fool your guests and family to think that you already do. You do not need to be a chef to use this....

We make a point to eat as a family at least once every week so, I gave this as a gift to my mother for her birthday. We have had BBQ'd chicken, my favorite pot roast, & chicken noodle soup. Bought this for my husband to cook with. He is very happy with this cooker. Cooks perfect. Uses it about every other day. The only complaint i have, the teflon on the inside pot blisters and peels after a while.
